Main features
The Angye Basin is distributed in the lower reaches of the Wicheon which flows into the Nakdong River and is a sedimentary rock-based erosion basin with a long rectangular shape in the northwest-southeast direction. The erosion basin is a basin topography formed by differential erosion due to the difference in rock strength and the influence of geological tectonic lines in the northwest-southeast direction and the erosion basin is composed of the hinterland, hilly land, valley (valley bottom plain), river and flood plain. Erosion basins are topographical surfaces where people have lived from the past. Valley and flood plains were reclaimed into paddy fields. Hilly areas were used as forests, developed later into fields, orchards, paddy fields, residential areas, agricultural and industrial complexes, etc.
